Black Mountain

The greening of the mountains from Tanbark Ridge overlook, elevation 3175 feet, Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina. The road seen in upper left is the parkway as it continues northeast. Can you see the little houses, including my favorite, the red roofed one?

Old trees still bloom

This dear old tree is in the parking lot of the First Baptist Church

While the gazebo is charmed by this funny bright citron shrub at the UU church.

Sunsine comes through another old tree in full bloom at the Baptist Church.

A starling enjoying treats of some kind on a steep bank.

The current status of the maples outside my windows

A robin also enjoyed pecking for something in that grass.

Today's quote:

Gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.

    1. Looks like it, but below freezing nights may put a damper on things...

  4. Such beauty! But last night's low temps have killed a lot of the new bloom, alas.
