The work continues on the additions, but we can still see the bones of the original building in the stonework. https://www.facebook.com/NorthCarolinaGlassCenter will be opening soon.
The new glass center has removed the nice mural.
Design of the Glass Center.
They posted on Facebook this morning (Fri) that a cat had some kittens in the chimney and the construction workers moved them to another store. Asking if anyone owned her, of course. Other Black Mountain businesses said they'd contribute to vet bills for her to be spayed if nobody claims her.
Today's quote:
I believe the greatest gift I can conceive of having from anyone is to be seen, heard, understood, and touched by them. The greatest gift I can give is to see, hear, understand, and touch another person. -Virginia Satir, psychotherapist and author (1916-1988)
I hope they have a new mural somewhere..
ReplyDeleteNice that people are caring for queen and kits
...it's sad to lose the mural.
ReplyDeleteThe new Glass Center looks like a nice design. Cute kitty, I hope the kittens are adopted. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteStrange place for a cat to chose to have kittens. Do you have glassblowing lessons in your future? My husband learned it and it was his hobby for 10 years. We have lots of nice usable glass pieces and many were given or sold too when we downsized.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great mural!
ReplyDeleteSurely they will use the mural elsewhere?
ReplyDeletePoor mama cat, I hope she is well cared for, and homes are found for all.
