I have only had one Saturday so far without sales. Which makes me look for the other great reasons I do it...seeing such a diversity of people, and pets, and especially children!
Dogs who want to fight are not allowed to return, and most owners do keep a tight leash on the ones who suddenly lunge for another one. I wonder what's in their minds to do that. Otherwise, very peaceful!
Oh I do hope you come my way and can visit the market. It's got so many interesting things, but no antiques. There are lots of other places near Asheville (which I bet you know about already!)
Ours tends to farmer's produce, decorative things for home and gardens, personal things like jewelry and tie died clothes, useful items...just a hodge podge.
So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
I miss doing markets
ReplyDeleteI was away 4-5 years, and haven't got my groove back...but the weather has been wonderful so far. That certainly helps!
Delete...I would be like a little kid in a candy shop.
ReplyDeleteThe veggies are coming in now, and will be all summer, locally grown!
DeleteThe market looks fun. I hope some of your pieces were sold. Take care, have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteIndeed it is, and we've had dry weekends since it opened in early May, at least dry till the market closed at noon!
DeleteMagnificent market in magnificent weather! I am jealous, it's raining cats and dogs here (some 4,200 miles east of Lake Tomahawk).
ReplyDeleteNothing says summer more than a market. Wonderful post.
ReplyDeleteSusan
