A wonderful choice of photos matching the prompt to share, but my favorite has to be the one with brains for sale at only 25 cents. Must be the basic item & the buyer has to supply the rest. :))
You've chosen some super images for this week's theme. I can remember when a cold soda pop could only be found at small convenience shops like the one at Westlaco, Texas. It's too bad that the price of brains has risen so much that they are too expensive for most people today :–)
These are just great -- and what a contrast from those cowboys and the tea party! I especially love how the cowboys stand to drink...no money wasted on bar stools there, and probably fewer items to throw in a fight.
So glad to have your comments...whatever they may be. I'm one who likes to reply sometime or another, so others will see that; or you might happen back sometime and see what conversation might have started.
...I love the little store in Westlaco TX.
ReplyDeleteAnd I was surprised to see that date. Maybe a typo. Doesn't quite look like the 60s. Wonder when...
DeleteGreat series, Brains for only 25 cents, LOL. That's a deal.
ReplyDeleteTake care, have a great day and happy weekend.
Makes one wonder what Brains was actually selling for 25 cents!
DeleteThe cowboy pic shows the uniform of a certain time and place. I think every time and place has this to some degree.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you.
DeleteThose Cowboys don’t look like John Wayne, do they?

ReplyDeleteFrom Scotsue - you have given us a fascinating selection of photographs - each telling a story and so much to like
